“Donald Trump Claims Non-Existent Endorsement from Taylor Swift: AI Images and Satirical Posts Stir Controversy”

Here is a revised version of the text withouTaylor Swift has not endorsed any presidential candidate for this election cycle, but former President Donald Trump has claimed acceptance of a non-existent endorsement from her. Trump posted “I accept!” on his Truth Social account, accompanied by a carousel of images of Swift, some of which appear to be AI-generated.

One of the manipulated photos depicts Swift as Uncle Sam with the text, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.” Other images show fans in “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts.

A representative for Swift has not responded to requests for comment.

One of the images shared by Trump is satire. It includes fake, AI-generated photos of “Swifties for Trump” with a caption referencing a foiled terrorist attack at Swift’s Vienna concerts earlier this month. The original account that published this post confirmed it as satire with a comment saying, “LOL @realDonaldTrump shared my post.”

Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, have been politically active this election cycle. After President Joe Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, a group of Swift’s fans formed “Swifties for Kamala,” which is not affiliated with the singer. This group, which mobilizes Swift fans to support Harris and other Democratic candidates, has over 60,000 followers on X.

Currently, there is no official “Swifties for Trump” group, although some of Swift’s conservative fans have expressed support for Trump on their personal social media accounts.

Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, claimed that “Swifties for Trump” is a growing movement. In 2020, Swift endorsed Biden and Harris, stating her belief in electing a president who supports people of color, women’s rights, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Swift’s 2020 documentary, “Miss Americana,” revealed her regret for not speaking out on political issues sooner. She stated, “I need to be on the right side of history,” and expressed willingness to face backlash for opposing Trump.

In 2020, Swift tweeted her disapproval of Trump, criticizing his presidency and pledging to vote him out. A spokesperson from “Swifties for Kamala” responded to Trump’s AI photos, emphasizing their group’s values align with Harris and Tim Walz, and rejecting support for Trump.

Despite Trump’s post, he seems to acknowledge that Swift has not endorsed him. In his book, “Apprentice in Wonderland,” Trump described Swift as “beautiful” but presumed she would not support him due to her liberal stance. Following the book’s release, left-leaning Swifties urged Trump to “stay away from her.”
